The first ‘China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo’ was held in Changsha, Hunan from June 27 to 29, 2019, focusing on trade, agriculture, cooperative parks, infrastructure and financial investment. It attracted more than 1,600 foreign guests and 3,500 domestic and foreign exhibitors, buyers and professional visitors from 53 African countries to attend the exhibition with the attendance over 100,000. Holding the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo was the first major action of the ‘eight major actions’ to cooperate with Africa, promoting the community of fate between China and Africa, which was proposed in September 2018 at the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation.
