Excelim-04 is an innovative, computer-assisted electromagnetic surgical navigation system, which is widely used for surgical visualization, planning and navigation to help minimize iatrogenic trauma to the surrounding brain tissue and reduce risk for surgery complication in cranial procedures (like Neurology, cranial and ENT surgery).
The system features its powerful image management and advanced dynamic 3D tracking systems.
The image management system is based on CT/MRI or multi-modality 2D patient images in DICOM format. With integrated image fusion and reconstruction software, the system will help fulfill 3D visualization of anatomical structures of patient's brain, to help surgeon determine 3D position of the abnormal organ or tissue inside, further quantify and optimize surgical planning.
Infrared-laser guided tracking system is used to track the 3D position and orientation of active or passive markers attached to surgical tools with advanced optical measurement technology that delivers exceptional accuracy (spatial resolution 1.0mm) and reliability.
